Important: By downloading, installing, or using jufo, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the application.
1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you") and Paweł Szczabel ("we," "us," "our") governing your use of the jufo mobile application ("App," "Service").

3. Description of Service
jufo is a meditation tracking application that allows users to:
- Track meditation sessions with a timer
- Monitor progress toward the 10,000-hour meditation goal
- View their position on a global leaderboard
- Compete in a league system with promotion and relegation
- Communicate with league group members via end-to-end encrypted community chat
- Earn virtual coins for meditation activity and community engagement
- Use widgets and Live Activities on iOS devices
The Service is provided free of charge with no in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Virtual Coins: Coins earned within jufo have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged, transferred, or redeemed for real currency. They serve solely as a gamification element for tracking engagement.
4. User Account
4.1 Registration: To use the App, you must create an account using a valid email address.
4.2 Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
4.3 Accurate Information: You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.
4.4 Username: Your chosen username (nickname) will be publicly visible on the leaderboard. You may not use offensive, inappropriate, or misleading usernames.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to:
- Use the App for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
- Attempt to manipulate meditation data or leaderboard rankings fraudulently
- Create multiple accounts to inflate statistics
- Interfere with or disrupt the App's infrastructure
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Use automated systems or bots to interact with the App
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users
- Use offensive or inappropriate usernames
5.1 Community Chat Rules
When using the community chat feature, you additionally agree NOT to:
- Send spam, repetitive, or excessively frequent messages
- Share hate speech, discriminatory, or sexually explicit content
- Share personal information of yourself or others (phone numbers, addresses, etc.)
- Promote external products, services, or websites
- Attempt to circumvent message rate limits or content restrictions
Note: Community chat messages are end-to-end encrypted and auto-expire after 48 hours. Messages are limited to 500 characters with a minimum 3-second cooldown between messages.
6. Intellectual Property
6.1 Ownership: All intellectual property rights in the App, including but not limited to the design, code, graphics, and trademarks, are owned by Paweł Szczabel.
6.2 License: We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.
6.3 User Content: You retain ownership of your data (meditation records and community messages). By using the App, you grant us a license to process this data as necessary to provide the Service. Community chat messages are end-to-end encrypted; we process only metadata (sender, timestamp, group) and cannot access message content.
7. Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
We do not warrant that:
- The App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
- The App will meet your specific requirements
- Any defects will be corrected
- The results of using the App will be accurate or reliable
Medical Disclaimer: jufo is not a medical application. The App does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Meditation practice should not replace professional medical care. Consult a healthcare provider for any health-related concerns.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to us (which is zero, as the App is free)
- We are not responsible for any loss of data or interruption of service
Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties or liability, so these limitations may not apply to you.
10. Account Termination
10.1 By You: You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account within the App. Alternatively, you may contact us at pawelszczabel@gmail.com. See our Account Deletion page for details.
10.2 By Us: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, without prior notice.
10.3 Effect of Termination: Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Your user data, meditation sessions, and encryption keys are deleted automatically. See our Privacy Policy for data retention details.
11. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated by:
- Posting updated Terms on this page
- Updating the "Last Updated" date
- Notification within the App for significant changes
Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland and the European Union.
For consumers residing in the EU, mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence may also apply.
Any disputes shall be resolved by the competent courts in Opole, Poland, unless mandatory consumer protection laws require otherwise.
13. Consumer Rights (EU)
If you are a consumer in the European Union, you have statutory rights that cannot be waived by these Terms:
- Right to withdraw from distance contracts within 14 days
- Consumer protection under applicable EU directives
- Access to alternative dispute resolution mechanisms

14. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.
15. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the use of the App.
